1. We will play 18 holes on Wednesday, 27 holes on Thursday, and 18 on Friday. The first 18 holes each day is best ball. The last 9 holes on Thursday are Scramble.
2. You will not have the same 2 man partner all week. We will be changing each round and you will be paired with someone else on your big team. The entry fee is $160. This money is used to pay the big Team winners as well as the individual winners. The rest of the entry fee is used to maintain this website. Prize payouts are not determined until we have a final player count. The winners of the big team will be determined with the team having the most points. We will pay the top 6 individuals based on their winning percentage (or points if everyone plays the same number of holes) rounded to two decimal places.
3. EVERY HOLE COUNTS 1 point so DON’T QUIT! If a hole is tied, 1/2 point is awarded to each team. Maximum score is a double for each competitor. Give your completed scorecard to Brad Dismukes or Ron Pinckard promptly at the end of the round. Please take a picture and text it to us as well.
4. Roll the ball in the fairway within one club length no closer to the hole. We are touching the ball everywhere between the tree line this year. In the woods must be played as it lies.
5. ROCK RULE: If your ball is on a rock or root (Inside tree line only: In Woods play as lies) or so close you would strike it during your swing, you may PLACE it within one score card or a reasonable amount as to not strike a rock no closer to the hole. If you are in a particularly rough area, your opponent may grant you additional relief at their discretion.
6. BUNKER RULE FOR 2024: All Bunkers will play as ground under repair. You may remove from the bunker and place the ball in the nearest relief.
7. If there is a situation where one player can not or does not play, the threesome will play individual match play where the player without a partner plays the other two individually. The points will be split between the team members: i.e. One player wins 12-6 and the other player loses 8-10, the twosome would be awarded 10 points and the single player would get 8 points. Strokes could be awarded in these matches per the A, B, C designations.
8. RESORT RULE: If you hit the ball in the woods and elect to take the penalty and take a drop, you can go to where the ball crossed the tree line and take 2 club lengths from that spot. Alternately, you can go back on a line from that spot and the flag as far as you want as long as you keep a straight line between the flag and your entry point into the woods. This is a gentleman’s game. Confirm with your opponent the drop is reasonable. If you elect to hunt for your ball, you must limit this to 3 minutes from the time you enter the woods. We are all playing right behind each other and pace of play will affect all of us.
9. Pace of Play. This course should be played in 4 hours and 15 minutes. It is important for all involved that each group maintain this pace. For the Thursday morning round, It is critical that everyone keep pace. We will be playing with different partners and groups in the afternoon. The Thursday morning round is therefore capped at 4 hours and 45 minutes. At this time, you should come back to Pro shop to prepare for the afternoon round.
10. If you are uncertain of a rule, play two balls so a ruling can be made after the round is completed. If there is anything not covered here, captains Brad and Ron will decide the appropriate action. If they can't agree, the grand pu bah of the StillWaters Golf Cup (ME) will decide.
